PoolSpace does not store or hold funds. All contributions are securely processed by Stripe, and Stripe pays available connected-account balances to the verified recipient’s bank account.

¹ About PoolSpace Collections
PoolSpace is a technology platform that enables individuals to create and share goal-based group funding pools for personal or community purposes.
PoolSpace does not provide banking, savings, lending, investment, or interest-bearing products. Funds contributed to a pool do not earn interest and are collected solely for the purpose described by the pool organizer.
PoolSpace does not hold customer funds. All payments and payouts are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
PoolSpace facilitates the coordination of contributions and pool closing, but Stripe controls payout timing according to the connected account’s payout schedule.
² Payments & Payouts
All contributions are processed securely by Stripe.
Before payouts are enabled, the designated recipient must complete identity verification and securely provide bank account details directly through Stripe.
Contributions are processed through the organizer’s connected Stripe account as payments are made. Stripe pays available balances to the verified bank account according to that Stripe account’s payout schedule.
A pool’s goal or end date controls when new contributions stop; it does not by itself initiate a separate PoolSpace payout.
PoolSpace does not:
- Store funds
- Maintain wallet balances
- Manually process payouts
- Override Stripe’s verification or compliance decisions
Stripe may delay, pause, or decline transactions or payouts where required to comply with legal, regulatory, or fraud-prevention obligations.
³ Contributor Responsibility & Risk Notice
By contributing to a pool, contributors acknowledge that:
- Contributions are voluntary.
- They have reviewed the pool details and recipient information prior to payment.
- Contributions are generally non-refundable once processed, subject to Stripe’s payment dispute processes.
- PoolSpace is not responsible for how funds are used after payout.
PoolSpace is not liable for losses resulting from:
- Incorrect pool or recipient information
- Misrepresentation by a pool organizer
- Payment disputes initiated through card networks
- Actions taken by Stripe in compliance with applicable laws
Contributors may dispute card payments directly with their card issuer in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
⁴ Fees
PoolSpace charges a 5% service fee per contribution. Payment processing fees charged by Stripe also apply. All applicable fees are clearly displayed before a contribution is completed.

PoolSpace does not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Users are responsible for assessing whether creating or contributing to a pool is appropriate for their circumstances and should seek independent professional advice where necessary.

PoolSpace is not a bank, money transmitter, or financial institution.
Payment processing, identity verification, and payout services are provided by Stripe, a licensed payment services provider operating in accordance with applicable U.S. laws and regulations.
